Featuring ten tracks that marry the scratchy yet catchy, swaggering, and dangerous sounds of The Stooges, Blondie, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs with the playfulness, pop sensibility, and exuberance of the finest 90s alt-rock, Mother Feather is the combination of the band’s two independently released recordings – 2011’s Mother Feather EP and 2013’s Living Breathing EP – plus two new songs, “Natural Disaster” and “The Power.” For their efforts, the group has garnered massive buzz for their unique brand of rock, vibrant Bowie-esque costumes and makeup, and enthralling live show. Having previously been featured on IFC.com, TeamCoco.com, and HuffingtonPost.com (who declared them as “a great New York City band in the tradition of Great New York City Bands”), Mother Feather was also recently named “new band of the week” by Metal Hammer, and has received much play on Daniel P. Carter’s Rock Show on BBC Radio 1. Of the new record, lead singer Ann Courtney says, “I want to make the kind of music that makes hearts explode. The feeling when you’re fifteen and you want to hear that song on repeat turned up as loud as the stereo will go and sing at the top of your lungs and thrash around your bedroom. I don’t want to put any music into the world that isn’t going to save someone – mostly me.”

THE BROWNING to Release “Isolation” on June 24

The Browning

THE BROWNING could very well be heavy music’s answer to the Terminator. Whereas everybody’s favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger cyborg hid an exoskeleton under a sheath of skin, the Kansas City quartet-Jonny [vocals, electronics], Cody [drums], Brian [guitar], and Rick [bass]- thinly veil a hard rock edge beneath a casing of skittering electronic dance music, hip-hop grime, metallic brutality, and industrial expanse. That signature style is “back” in a big way on Isolation, their third full-length album and first for Spinefarm Records.

Isolation arrives on June 24 and it’s THE BROWNING‘s most ambitious offering to date.

“Over the course of the last three years, rock music is primarily all I’ve listened to,” Jonny explains. “I’ve been ingesting bands like Rammstein, Disturbed, and Three Days Grace. My writing swung towards that. I knew this album was going to have more of a rock vibe. Obviously, there’s still metal, but the scope has expanded. The electronics remain a big part of it. Since day one, the whole point was to not only be the heaviest electronic band, but the band with by far the most electronics.”

He furthered, “Isolation is by far the best album THE BROWNING has done yet. It has everything I wanted in it and nothing is missing. It shows how the band has progressed and matured since our last release. So, I cannot wait for the world to hear it.”

SISTER SIN Frontwoman LIV JAGRELL Launches Solo Career with LIV SIN

livSISTER SIN Frontwoman LIV JAGRELL Launches Solo Career with LIV SIN

From the gutters of south Sweden, Liv “Sin” Jagrell emerged as a major force as the vocalist for hard rockers Sister Sin. Throughout their 13 year career, Sister Sin sold thousands of albums and toured the world with high profile tours supporting the likes of Slayer and King Diamond on the Rockstar Mayhem festival tour, as well as being a part of the Revolver Magazine ”Hottest Chicks in Metal” tour. Sister Sin toured relentlessly for over a decade across Europe and North America garnering an intensely loyal following of rockers that craved the band’s aggressive and melodic brand of hard rock.

When Sister Sin called it quits at the end of 2015, Liv knew that she had much more to give to her fans. From this, LIV SIN was born. Liv is currently working on a new music that shows the power, sexiness, and attitude that she is known for. Liv says ”for me it has never been an option to stop singing. I live for the stage and for my fans. I still miss Sister Sin, but I am very excited to work on my own project, and I can promise it will not be some soft pop rock. This is going to be metal deluxe, because that’s who I am!” LIV SIN offers a modernized hard rock sound to take Liv into her next phase, a sound that is destined to please both new fans and her longtime fans of Sister Sin.

Abnormality streams new album, ‘Mechanisms of Omniscience’, via RevolverMag.com; ‘Mechanisms of Omniscience’ out now worldwide

Abnormality

Today, Massachusetts-based extreme metal outfit Abnormality has released their sophomore full-length, Mechanisms of Omniscience, worldwide via Metal Blade Records! Marrying the ceaseless brutality coming out of New York and New England to the hyper-blasting intensity endemic to Quebecois death metal, Mechanisms of Omniscience is as unrelenting as it is passionate, and the album tackles real world issues with intelligence and raw emotion. To hear the record in its entirety, head over to RevolverMag.com for the exclusive stream: http://www.revolvermag.com/news/abnormality-premiere-new-album-mechanisms-of-omniscience.html

To purchase Mechanisms of Omniscience in various formats, please visit: metalblade.com/abnormality

Formed in 2005, Abnormality drew its members from the ranks of units such as Teratism, Forced Asphyxiation, Goratory and Sexcrement, and they have worked patiently and persistently to build up a grassroots following, maintaining their integrity while steadily expanding beyond their local scene. In 2010, they dropped their debut EP, The Collective Calm In Mortal Oblivion, which immediately drew attention in the underground, followed by the crushing and critically acclaimed full-length, Contaminating The Hive Mind (2012), cementing their status as one of the heaviest and most dynamic bands in the genre. Now, with their new sophomore effort, Mechanisms of Omniscience – produced once again by Peter Rutcho, and featuring artwork by vocalist Mallika Sundaramurthy – the quintet have never been more serious about getting their message out there, as well as ensuring legions of the moshing masses incur whiplash. Read on for some reviews of Abnormality‘s acclaimed new album:

“It’s as if Abnormality took all the best elements of modern tech-death, mashed it up with the old school variety, infused it with a sense of groove rarely felt in metal’s more technical corners and created one seething, roaring, fire-breathing death metal beast. If you ever found yourself wishing that Hate Eternal, Origin or something even more frenetic like Brain Drill just slowed their music the fuck down a little bit without sacrificing the brutality,Abnormality are the band for you.”MetalSucks.net

“Want blazing speed and chaos wrapped alongside chunky and memorable grooves? ‘Mechanisms of Omniscience‘ is just for you. It stays true to its vision of death metal while sneaking in curiously memorable riffs to keep you on your toes and ensuring that you’ll be back for more.”DeadRhetoric.com

“‘Mechanisms Of Omniscience‘ is Abnormality‘s most polished-sounding and dynamic release to date and stands head and shoulders with everything else they’ve released so far.”NoCleanSinging.com

Whitechapel reveals details for new album, ‘Mark of the Blade’; launches lyric video for title track online

Whitechapel - Mark of the Blade

On June 24th, Whitechapel will release their sixth full-length, Mark of the Blade, worldwide via Metal Blade Records. Pushing their sound forward with each successive release, Mark of the Blade remains true to the band’s roots while venturing into previously unexplored territory, both sonically and lyrically. To view the lyric video for the first single – the album’s title track – and to pre-order the record in various formats, please visit: metalblade.com/whitechapel

Reunited with producer Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse), Whitechapel has redefined who they are and what they are capable of with their new album, Mark of the Blade. Kicking off with “The Void” – which has a Slayer-esque ferocity that is perfectly suited to the band’s three-guitar attack – the songs that follow all leave a distinct impression, and by the time the rich, dark melodies on “Decennium” bring the record to a close, it’s impossible to deny the emotional weight brought to bear. “It’s the most dynamic record we’ve done, in the sense that one song can be very aggressive while the next one will be softer and sentimental,” guitarist Alex Wade asserts. “At this point in our career and as we grow older, we are taking a more open-minded approach to creating our music, allowing what we think sounds good to evolve naturally, rather than to just write what is expected of us.”

See below for the official track-listing!
