Guitarist Alex Wade comments: “A big thank you to all the Chapel fans who have picked up this record or plan to – supporting music by buying records is how to keep your favorite bands alive.”

Hailed as “an exciting milestone” (Alt Press), Mark of the Blade was produced by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse) and sees Whitechapel redefine who they are and what they are capable of with the resulting 11 tracks. Kicking off with “The Void” – which has a Slayer-esque ferocity that is perfectly suited to the band’s three-guitar attack – the songs that follow all leave a distinct impression, and by the time the rich, dark melodies on “Decennium” bring the record to a close, it’s impossible to deny the emotional weight brought to bear. Alex Wade explains, “At this point in our career and as we grow older, we are taking a more open-minded approach to creating our music, allowing what we think sounds good to evolve naturally, rather than to just write what is expected of us.”

COLDCOCK Whiskey Artist Harlow Performing This Month!

Harlow Coldcock

Power, Ferocity, strength and beauty… These are some of the words that come to mind when you witness and hear HARLOW first time. HARLOW delivers a sound that shapes a mixture of Rock, Pop, Punk influences which support lead singer, Lauren Harlow’s powerful and dynamic vocal prowess; cannot help but make comparisons to Pat Benatar, Debbie Harry, Joan Jett and Pink. Relatively new to the musical world, HARLOW has been tearing up each and every stage they grace. Upon forming in 2013, Lauren, Joe Allen, Kevin Razlog, Kelly Weaver spent years making a name for themselves in other groups in the local Detroit scene. As HARLOW came together they knew that something special was going on and they wasted no time to get the momentum rolling. Acclaimed as a Super Group of local talent by some, these four have shrugged off this label and have spent most of 2014 not only representing Detroit but spreading out to the Midwest and venturing new areas in the east of the US to larger and larger crowds. With the recent release of a self-titled EP and the pending release of their first full length Album “Shattered” the band is gearing up for more shows across the US and showing everyone who and what they are made of. With the exit of Joe Allen in 2015 and the entrance of Tomas Lopez, HARLOW has taken great strides toward the next level. HARLOW is the next bombshell on modern music and strives to make music that will connect with all ages, creeds and provide people with music to be a fan of again.

BEASTMAKER Announces North American Tour Supporting Monolord

Beastmaker promo pic

BEASTMAKER hail from the unlikely locale of Fresno, California. Sweating profusely in a parched no man’s land about three and a half hours northeast of Los Angeles, the city isn’t exactly a cultural mecca-and yet it’s the birthplace of Hollywood outsiders and weirdos like Sid Haig, Slim Pickens and director Sam Peckinpah. Still, it suffers from an unsurprising dearth of musicians interested in heavy rock.

BEASTMAKER released their debut Lusus Naturae earlier this year via Rise Above Records.  Lusus Naturae is available to order HERE.  In support of their new album BEASTMAKER will be returning to the road in North America this summer.  The band will be providing direct support to Monolord and Sweat Lodge will open.   The tour begins August 5th in Seattle, WA and runs through September 10th in Vancouver, BC.  A complete list of dates can be found below.

Says front man Trevor Church regarding the upcoming with Monolord, “We are bringing sin to the lower 48 and Canada. Limited clear green vinyl and exclusive tour design t-shirts. Everyone will go home with the mask of Satan!”

Watch their video for the song “The Mask of Satan” HERE!

Though Church had the concept for BEASTMAKER as far back as 2006, it wasn’t until he and drummer Andres Alejandro Saldate, a.k.a. Juan Bonham, hooked up with bassist John Tucker in 2014 that the band was fully realized. “I was really inspired by old bands and metal,” Church explains. “From the Zombies to Slayer, from Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons to Black Sabbath. I was really into NWOBHM and what bands like Witchcraft are doing now. After many failed attempts and at least five bands in between, we found John and finally had a solid lineup.”

BEASTMAKER‘s lyrical landscape is awash in imagery from midnight movies and the dark arts, but that’s only part of the picture. “I like to make up stories,” Church says simply. “I use horror movies and the occult as influences but rarely directly. For instance, ‘Mask of Satan’ is me paying homage to the great horror film Black Sunday very directly.  On the other hand, ‘You Must Sin’ is about a woman longing for love and finding it in the most bizarre place, but John will tell you it’s a political song. I like to think that people come up with their own interpretations of what the songs mean and let their minds run free.”
